The Publishing Ministries’ mission is to reach people with the Three Angels’ Message through the written word. It provides and assists other ministries in the promotion, sale, and distribution of subscription magazines and other missionary literature. Publishing Ministries work with the pastor and other ministries in planning for systematic ways to involve members in the distribution of literature. “There are many places in which the voice of the minister cannot be heard, places which can be reached only by our publications—the books, papers, and tracts filled with the Bible truths that the people need.”—CM 4.
The mission of Publishing Ministries is evangelism but also the nurturing of church members. Ellen G. White encouraged members to “sell or to give away our literature.”—CM 91. Giving Away (Sharing) by Church Members is critical —“Let every believer scatter broadcast tracts and leaflets and books containing the message for this time.”—CM 21.
